For our March meeting we made floral arrangements for the residents of Hill Valley - Fair Oaks (formerly Manor Care). Members supplied the flowers and mugs. A total of 54 arrangements were made. Theresa and Sue delivered the arrangements to Hill Valley the next morning.
At our February meeting we installed our new officers. They are Michele Bevington, correspondence secretary, Jennifer Thorpe, president, Kathleen Whitman, vice president and Robin Ward, treasurer. Not pictured, Ellen Black recording secretary.
For our program, Rick Rio from Prince William Master Gardeners gave a talk on starting seeds indoors.
Our speaker, Gretchen Mason, gave an informative talk on the care of houseplants. Gretchen currently works at Modern Foliage Designs and hosts an Instagram page as "Greenhousegirl"
She answered questions about our plants, gave advice on transplanting and general care. She even gave away some cuttings.
Susan, Stacey, Pam and Mary Beth provided the refreshments. They were enjoyed by all.
We had our Christmas Party at our December 8th meeting. It was very well attended and quite festive with holiday tablecloths and centerpieces on each table.
We had a lively gift exchange with gifts being stolen multiple times.
The delicious food came from Wegmans. There was something tasty for everyone to enjoy.

We each brought one of our own tools and we cleaned and sharpened them.
Everyone was happy with the results. Our tools looked great and we all had learned something new.
