November Meeting

At our November meeting we made fall floral arrangements for the residents of Fairfax Rehab Center.

Once again the snacks were wonderful.

                                                       We also celebrated Donna's Birthday!

We had wonderful refreshments as usual!

Parktober Fest

Parktober Fest was held on October 7 at E C Lawrence Park. We sold houseplants, plants for the garden and flower arrangements.

Mount Vernon Tour

Saturday, August 12th eight of us went to George Washington's Mount Vernon. Theresa led us on a tour of the gardens.  We also toured the house and had a tasty and enjoyable lunch at The Mount Vernon Inn. We enjoyed exploring the beautiful grounds, learning new things about President George Washington and spending time together. Thanks Theresa for setting it up and for arranging for our tickets.

Work at the Brain Foundation House

We have been doing garden maintenance at the Brain Foundation house in Greenbriar for several years. This summer Robin and her husband spent several days removing trees from the yard. A group of us helped them with weeding and loading the truck. There are more days of work and more trips to the dump before the job is done.

Front Royal Trip

In June several of us went to Front Royal to see Elaine's garden. The gardens and the view were lovely.  She had made some changes since our last visit. One of the changes was the addition of a screened porch where we enjoyed eating our lunch and a tasty Texas sheet cake that she had made.

May Meeting

Our May meeting was held at Georgie's. We enjoyed touring her lovely yard and gardens. She shared what had worked, what didn't work so well and her plans for the future. It was wonderful to see so many plants from our plant sales growing and thriving. We had our business meeting and refreshments on the deck overlooking the backyard.
